Strategic Plan 2010-2016: Better Futures for Iowans
Public research universities evolve by addressing the needs of each generation in each state. We will expand our public engagement to contribute to economic and cultural vitality and to the health and quality of life of the people of Iowa. We will help place-bound Iowans achieve their educational aspirations. We will align University resources with important state needs.
The university will seek to create better futures for Iowans by expanding non-traditional paths for earning degrees for place-bound Iowans; expanding and enhancing transfer and articulation agreements with community colleges; and forging new partnerships with local communities to expand the university's public leadership and contributions to economic and cultural vitality and to the health and quality of life of the people of Iowa.
